First touch
How to serve
Start the serve by clicking the screen or pressing RT on console, then use the next input to choose power. You can jump and spike the tossed ball or let it fall and use a bump serve.
Power
The striking-strength meter controls how hard the ball is hit.
Toss
The camera helps aim while W, A, S, and D adjust the toss direction.
Control
A repeatable legal serve is more useful to a beginner than maximum power.
Create the attack
How setting works
Press Q while grounded for a shorter set with moderate height. An airborne Q produces a higher, farther-reaching set. Advanced Controls add a charge meter that can help produce lower receives and quicker sets.
Attack
How to spike and use tilt
Jump and use the airborne attack input to spike. Direction depends on your character-facing direction and movement-key tilt—not only on the camera. Contact near the top of the jump and the ball's height helps avoid a “Too low!” result.
Defense
How to block and dive
Blocking
Press Q while airborne. Position and jump timing determine whether your block can reach the attack.
Diving
Press Ctrl on PC or X on console. A dive moves you forward and expands horizontal receiving reach.
Safe reps

Brixumi recommendation
A simple beginner routine
Ground contacts
Alternate between bumps and sets until the grounded inputs feel distinct.
Basic serving
Repeat a safe serve before adding a jump or changing its direction.
Jump timing
Meet the ball cleanly in the air before adding strong directional tilt.
Controlled tilt
Learn W and S separately, then introduce left and right adjustments.
Receive and recover
Move into position first and reserve diving for balls outside normal reach.
Pickup matches
Focus on one role and learn spacing before using Ranked as a practice court.
