First-match checklist
How to play your first match
Volleyball Legends is a fast-paced 6v6 Roblox volleyball game built around timing, positioning, and teamwork. Begin with grounded contacts, then add jumping, serving, and directional control one layer at a time.
- 01Check the controls below: left click bumps on the ground; Q sets.
- 02When it is your turn to serve, click once to start, then click again to choose power. On console, use RT.
- 03On receive, move toward the ball and use a grounded bump when you can reach it.
- 04Give a teammate room to attack; avoid chasing every contact together.
- 05After the rally, return to position and focus on the next ball.
Need to learn the inputs first? Start in Practice Mode, then use the training routine below.

First touch
How to serve
When it is your turn to serve, click once to start the serve, then click again to choose power. On console, press RT for each step. Jump and spike the tossed ball, or let it fall and use a bump serve.
For your first attempts, keep the serve type and direction the same. Adjust power until you can repeat the result, then introduce a jump serve and directional tilt.
Create the attack
How to set the ball
Press Q on PC or LT on console while grounded to set. While airborne, Q or LT blocks instead. Move into position before setting so your teammate has time to prepare for the attack.
Attack
How to spike and use tilt
Jump, then left click on PC or press RT on console to spike. Direction depends on your character-facing direction and movement-key tilt—not only on the camera. Contact near the top of the jump and the ball's height helps avoid a “Too low!” result.
Defense
How to block and dive
Blocking
Press Q on PC or LT on console while airborne. Position and jump timing determine whether your block can reach the attack.
Diving
Press Ctrl on PC or X on console. A dive moves you forward and expands horizontal receiving reach.

Suggested training order
A beginner practice routine
Separate bump and set
Stay grounded and alternate left click with Q. Move on when you can choose the intended contact without looking up the key.
Repeat the same serve
Keep your serve type and direction fixed. If the ball misses, adjust power before changing another variable.
Add spike timing
Practice airborne contact without tilt. If you see ‘Too low!’, change your jump timing before adding direction.
Compare tilt directions
Try W and S separately with the same setup, then A and D. Watch how the ball path changes instead of changing all inputs together.
Take one goal into a match
Choose receiving, setting, or blocking for your next pickup match. After each rally, notice whether position or contact timing caused the mistake.
